The Israeli Immigration Policy Center has over the years participated in a large number of panels sponsored by the most prestigious institutions in Israel, including universities, research institutes, training institutes etc., in order to present an up-to-date factual picture of the phenomenon of illegal migration to Israel.
The Institute of Legal Training of Attorneys and Legal Advisers at the Justice Ministry
Yonatan Jacubowicz, representative of the IIPC, participated in a panel as part of training held by the institute to hundreds of attorneys serving the state, under the headline: “Global migration and human trafficking”. Mrs. Sharon Harel, from the UN High Commissioner on Refugees, also participated.
The Israeli Institute of Democracy
A representative of the Israel Immigration Policy Center participated in a roundtable discussion held by the Israeli Institute of Democracy under the heading: “Love the foreigner: On Israel’s migration policy”
Election Panel in South Tel Aviv:
The Israeli Immigration Policy Center initiated and organized an election panel in south Tel Aviv, with participants from the parties ‘Likud’, ‘Yesh Atid’, ‘Labor’ and ‘Jewish Home’.
The Communications School of Tel Aviv University:
Yonatan Jacubowicz, representative of the Israeli Immigration Policy Center, took part in a symposium with the headline “The migrant – an occupier or a partner” , as part of the communications class in Tel Aviv University. The panel included Mr. Ilan Laor, from the Haaretz newspaper, migrant activist Mutassim Ali and member of Knesset Michal Rosin. It was moderated by Israel Radio journalist Peer-Li Shahar.
The Interdisciplinary Center:
A representative of the IIPC, Yonatan Jacubowicz, participated in a panel at the Interdisciplinary Center in Herzliya, with Interior Minister Faina Kirshenbaum and lawyer Michal Pinchuk, head of the ASAF pro-migrant NGO.
Clinic by the Lawyers’ Association and the ‘Skhar Mitzvah’ program: “Assisting residents of the neighborhoods in coping with the phenomenon of illegal migrants”
Representatives of the Israel Immigration Policy Center Yonatan Jacubowicz and Orly Yuger participated in a clinic for lawyers who have shown interest in helping the residents of south Tel Aviv. Including dealing with the collapse of infrastructure, the damages to the neighborhoods and the abuse of veteran residents by authorities.
“Political Café” – Hebrew University Student Union:
A representative of the Israeli Immigration Policy Center, Yonatan Jacubowicz, participated in a panel held by the Student Union at the Hebrew University. Speaking on the other side was Dr. Hadas Yaron, from the ‘Center to Promote African Refugees’.
Tel Aviv University
A representative of the Israeli Immigration Policy Center, Yonatan Jacubowicz, took part in a panel with the heading ‘Refugees or “Refugees”?’. Other participants included Mr. Yinon Salzman from the “Committee to Prevent Genocide” and Mrs. Orit Marom from the ASAF pro-migrant organization.
The Yakar community
Representative of the Israeli Immigration Policy Center Yonatan Jacubowicz participated in a panel in the ‘Yakar’ community, with the heading: “Asylum City?”
The panel also included journalist Ben Dror Yemini, Mrs. Orit Marom from the pro-migrant ASAF organization, and Mr. Mutassim Ali, from ‘The Center to Promote African Refugees’.
