In March 2014 the Israeli Immigration Policy Center revealed a statistical report by the Tipat Halav network of infant care in the city of Tel Aviv. According to data in the report, one of every nine babies treated by Tipat Halav centers in Tel Aviv is a child of foreigners, where 59% of them are children to parents who illegally migrated to the country from Africa. The report further shows that 93% of the children treated by Tipat Halav in the Tel Aviv central bus station area are children of illegal migrants. This statistic reflects the overreaching demographic change taking place in south Tel Aviv.
